Private tutor in New Britain, CT
Education
Junior Spanish and Psychology Major at Union College Minor in Dance GPA 3.78 Dean's List Study Abroad: Cross Cultural Center of Seville, Spain, Winter, 2012
Experience
As Scholarship Chair of my sorority, Sigma Delta Tau, I tutor fellow students as well as plan scholarly events, such as my most recent "The Meaning of a Liberal Arts Degree from Union College and Post-Grad Plans." I would love to tutor because I have a passion for education and helping others learn. I am extremely patient, personable, and enjoy seeing growth in students. I am also a member of the Scholars Program of Union College. Top students admitted to the first-year class are invited into the program including a Scholars Independent Study Project, through which I designed an informative website directed towards studying abroad and immersing oneself in a foreign culture. I am also an Orientation Advisor at Union College, through which I collaborated with other adviser in establishing strategies for freshmen adjustment (how to get first year students involved on campus, what programs, clubs, and classes would best suit their interests), and helped new students with scholastic, social, and time-management difficulties and concerns
